Modern medicine has its limitions. These limitations may occur because medical science cannot cure an illness, or because it is unavailable to the sick person, or because it is subverted by sinful man. Whatever the reason, these limitations often lead to injustice, suffering and death.
Like any aging physician, I have watched countless dramas unfold in people's lives as they confront the limitations of medicine. By fictionalizing these dramas, I try to shed light on how people handle them.
I believe that fear is as large a part of
suffering as is pain. By calming fear in the suffering believer, Christ works
His wonders. Through story-telling, I
want to bring home to sufferers and their loved ones that He is always with
them, even in the shadow of death and they need fear no evil
